Comme des Garçons HOMME PLUS is the most experimental menswear brand designed by Rei Kawakubo. The Japanese designer craves a line that expresses maximum individual freedom around traditional garments such as suiting, shirting and classic outerwear like crombie coats, trench coats and pea coats. HOMME PLUS recreates the codes of classic menswear, through deconstruction and blurring the lines between genders, and thanks to visionary partnerships, such as with Nike. Fabric research is also very important to this line, which pioneered the use of felted wool, boiled & destroyed fabrics, as well as pre-shrunk garments.
